Kelly Green grew up on the west coast of California raised by a single mother. He was surrounded by addictions and a dysfunctional family structure. Kelly watched the adults in his life attempt to fill the void in their lives with worldly vices and he too chose those “escapes” for his young life. In spite of a life embedded in the counterculture of the age, Kelly came to know the Lord as a young man and was called into the gospel ministry in 1971. Kelly then attended the University of Mobile, where he met his wife, Beth Thomas. They were married in November of 1974. Upon graduating from the university, this high school dropout went on to obtain a Master’s of Divinity from Southwestern Seminary.
Kelly Green Evangelistic Association (now Kelly Green Global) was founded in 1979. During the last 40 plus years, Kelly has visited over 1500 churches in the U.S., as well as travelled globally with teams of believers, to share the Gospel. Missions and evangelism have been his passion. He has been gifted in equipping people to work with the Father-less people of the world through short term mission trips, locally and international.
Kelly and Beth have two sons, Jonathan (married to Merida) and Taylor (married to Dawn), and are grandparents to Skylar.
